Jelly Babies opening sequence in pictures
This is the begining of the opening sequence. i havent thought of a name for the distrubtor yet. so this is just an example.
This is after the distrubtor is shown and this is the what the production who produced the film is called.
This is to tell the audience the people who created the film. The reason why i didnt put katie austin and svetlana zheynova is because when watching the se7en opening sequence it didnt do that.
This is the title of the movie, We positioned the card to come all the way to the front in a canted angle to make it more creepy as you cant see anything behind it.We now have decided a name and we are calling it "PERDANT" This means death in French which means losing or lost.
i choose to put the name above the characters head to show who it is.
This comes second because they are second most important character.
This is the rest of characters who appear in the film. They are all together because they aren't the main characters.
i choose to show the forest in the background because its slowly going in to the forest.
As the camera keeps zooming into the forest the cards become closer.
This is to show who the film is directed by the card is coming up to the screen and the reason why it is written like this is because the film main factor is about kids and kids writing is normally shown in programs and films to have some backwards letters.
I did this because i want it to zoom up to the camera and fade out into the scene. Though it would add more effect.
Time line of Se7ens opening sequence
This is the timeline for Se7ens opening sequence, we had to watch the opening sequence and write down the names and jobs which came first. Which will help us with our own opening sequence. We found out the how the importances of roles is shown and how those who are less important are shown.

Animatic for horror film
This is the Animatic for our horror film, this is a rough design of how the film is going to be set out.
Costume and make up for film
Costume and make up
Scary make up for man
This isnt what the man will look like in the film as this is a girl, but we like the red eyes and expression she has on her face which is very soleum. We will use red eye contacts for our man because we think its has more effect because white contacts are always used so we want to make it different. Also most demons have red or black eyes not white eyes as this is mainly related to vombies.
We like this picture aswell, even though the man isnt going to be a skeleton, we like the darkness of the eyes and cheek bones, creates mystery.
We liked this picture because of the make up and the red, it add effects to the character without over doing it.

This picture is from edward scissor hands, we like the make up in this film because of the scars, dark eyes and pale complexsion. The scars are good because it shows evillness, even though this isnt the case with edward scissor hands. It shows abuse with links nicely with our character.

Halloween
At first I didn’t like the look of this open sequence because it looked really bland, because the pictures didn’t really show it fully. However when I looked on the clip, I understood it and I found it clever that the electric of the board kept going on and off. This is effective because it’s scary and electrical faults are big in horror films. Also at the end it made a pumpkin face which I thought was good because it was building up to the pumpkin and the film is called Halloween.
The cabin in the woods
I liked this sequence as well because in the beginning its very stereotypical for a horror film because of the dark and dangerous colours of the fire. However it then cuts to a very clean scene where everything looks normal and happy. I like this effect because it shows us that even though nothing seems to be happening, nothing is always what it seems. Also its showing the story and the beginning of the fire looks like the consequence. I like this because its flips so quickly and it confuses you which makes you want to know more about the first scene would like to use this in my horror film but find a way to make it quicker.
Vertigo
This is the opening sequence for the film vertigo. I really
liked this opening sequence because it has a lot of mystery and it makes you
think what is happening around her. The first part of this sequence shows the
bottom half of young girls face which you normally relate to vulnerability. The
camera then does an extreme close up of her lips which conceal a lot like words
etc. Then goes to both eyes, eyes reveal a lot about how you are feeling
and her eyes are looking around showing she’s nervous. Then goes on to her eye
and changes to a red tint, red symbolises danger, automatically makes you think
something bad is going to happen. Then spirals start happening as names of
people who were involved in the film go past. The spirals are all different
colours and shapes which after a while hurt your eyes and confuse you. I
researched the word "Vertigo" which is a Latin word meaning whirling
or spinning movement. I also researched the film and it’s about a
detective who becomes obsessed with his friends younger wife. Which would help
understand why the camera zooms in to her face because it’s like him looking at
her face inspecting all areas of it? I really like this opening sequence
because it shows a lot of information about the film but not giving it all
away, until you research it and it becomes more interesting.
Alien
This is the opening
sequence for the film "Alien" I like this opening sequence because
even though nothing big is happening it still shows a lot of meaning. At the
beginning the camera is just filming darkness going along like space. It shows
3 lines at the beginning and you think about what they could be. This is good
because it gets the viewer interested and more involved with the film. As the
filming goes along the darkness, slowly other lines start appearing and forming
letters it the spells out "Alien" I thought this is like showing the
audience you focus too much on one subject and then all of a sudden it’s there.
Linking with the film because investigators find weird creatures which just
come out of nowhere. I like this because there’s not much to it but the amount
there is gives it mystery, like the mystery of aliens.

Possible problems and solutions:
Lighting – if the setting or time of day is too dark we either can film on another day earlier or use a torch. we will probably use a torch as it will add more effect to the scariness of the film.
Actors – responsibility of actors as they are quite young.
