Justin Timberlake 'Mirrors' comment

The first time watching Justin Timberlake’s video for his song 'Mirrors' I was very confused as to what was happening. Over time the more I have seen it, the more it makes sense. I think the angles and the story line are done very cleverly and as you get use to the videos all the scenes link up together and makes sense to create an emotional response.  As they scenes going back to the past and then to the future of a couple. Which would make the audience feel like they know the couple in the video as they get to see their life. Also they would feel sadness as one of them dies after all that shown in the video. It gets the viewer involved as everyone falls in love at least once and everyone grows old and dies. So they can relate it to their life. Which is why it won the best music video of the year compared to all the rest because it can be seen as hard hitting emotionally. Also the lighting is dim so it makes it easier to watch as it makes it calmer. Similarly the editing has been well done as the clips become faster towards the end to show that it was ending. However at the end with Justin Timberlake performing in a room of mirrors with half dressed women, made you forget about the rest of the video as you were more confused to why he ruined the video with a cheesy dance routine and basically naked women with fizzy coloured wigs.
Overall I think he deserved to win the prize because it was the best compared to the videos of 2013 and it had a very strong impact.
